May Haul: Sephora, Victoria's Secret, Drugstore

Happy May, guys! Where did the time go? Today, I have for you yet a new haul (surprise, surprise). Of course I went to Sephora (once a month trip is a must) and this time I also stopped by Victoria's Secret and luckily, all their makeup items are 30% off, so I decided to pick up something that I've been wanting to try. I made a quick trip to a drugstore and pick up a few goodies as well. So here you are, hope you enjoy :)

My first stop is at Sephora because I have heard sooooooo manyyyyy good things about Bumble and Bumble Prêt-à-Powder and I had to try it out for myself. It is an all-in-one dry shampoo, style extender, and volumnizer. Having super long and thick and heavy hair, other volumizer doesn't really work well with me. It's super difficult for me to tease my hair and have that volume stay at its place despite strong hold hair sprays, so I have high hopes for this product as it is in a powder form. For some reason I think powder volumizer/dry shampoo will work better than liquid form (in sprays, etc.) so we'll see how this goes. I'll let you know what I think!

Next, I have been dyingggg to try the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick. I am obsessed with purple lipstick (hello, Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Shameless - my go-to, favourite purple), so I picked up the shade Melted Violet. It is such a beautiful colour, and I wanted to pick up Melted Coral, which is a gorgeous coral colour, but I figure I'd wait for summer so I just have the Melted Violet for now.

If you've read my previous post, you'd already know that Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in White Russian is on the top of my wish list. This time finally, I decided to get it. It is that perfect go-to everyday nude pink lipgloss that can be worn over any shades of nude lipsticks. I love the colour, I love the scent (which is that typical dough-y, lip plumping gloss scent, if you know what I mean. It's quite similar to MAC's plush glasses). I understand why this product is so popular in the beauty world. It is a no-brainer shade and easy to throw in your everyday makeup bag.

Here's a (tiny bit blurry - sorry!) swatch picture for Buxom's White Russian and Too Faced's Melted Violet.

As I've mentioned, at Victoria's Secret, they had 30% off all makeup items. I picked up VS PRO Magic FX Radiant Flash Brightening Cream. It is very similar to Benefit High Beam, which I do not own. But I'm excited to try it out as a highlighter.

At the drugstore I picked up 2 EOS lip balms in Honeysuckle Honeydew (green) and Blueberry Acai (blue). I ran out of my Strawberry Sorbet (pink) and Sweet Mint (mint) ones at home so I picked up these 2 as I've never tried these flavours before (plus, my boyfriend loves them so I'll be giving him one).

And thanks to Nicole Guerriero, I picked up the new L'oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in Everbloom she wore in her recent video. It is a gorgeous coral shade, perfect for spring (even though it's not quite spring yet where I live. I'm still wearing my winter jackets). I also picked up a NYX lipgloss in Sorbet. Again, another pink nude (hahaha I have a problem... but you can never have too many pinky nudes in my opinion ;))

I also picked up some NYX Butter Glosses but that will be in the next post so keep a look out for that ;) until next time,

Haul: The Body Shop, Lush, and Victoria's Secret

Hello, hello! Today I have a beauty haul for you from The Body Shop, Lush, and Victoria's Secret!

I stopped by The Body Shop because I haven't been there in so long and they were having these deals (buy 1 get 10% off, buy 2 get 20% off, buy 3 get 30%) so of course I had to take advantage and picked up some new things to try!

The first item I got is this Banana Conditioner. First of all I love the smell of bananas and I have never seen or heard of this product before so naturally I have to try this out! They also have the shampoo version of this but as I am currently using my Redken All-Soft Shampoo (and I'm loving it .. as much as my hair needs it), I only wanted to try out the Banana Conditioner. (I found out that the Banana Shampoo is actually a bestseller so I'll have to pick it up the next time I go back to try it out!)

The next thing I got is this Mini Shea Body Scrub. This is actually for my boyfriend because he wanted a "hand exfoliator" (LOL) so he picked this one out in the store as it smells really nice and works really well!

The last thing I got from The Body Shop is the Honey Bronze Shimmer Lip Balm. (I don't know if this is a limited edition product because I couldn't find it anywhere on their website.)

Can we please just take a look at the packaging of this little thing? I love it so much! It is mostly colorless (a teeny bit bronzy in color but does not have any honey scent) and has really subtle gold shimmer! It is a lip balm so it is very moisturizing! I almost want to go back and pick up another one of this just in case it is limited edition.

Next I went to Lush. They just brought back (by popular demand) Let the Good Times Roll Facial Cleanser.

I have never tried Lush's face products before (I've only been in love with their Bubble Bars, particularly Ma Bar - something about this scent gets me every.single.time. After I'm done taking my bath using the Ma Bar I used to drop my puppy in after so that he smells freaking amazing afterwards haha don't know if you can do that but hey, the scent lingers on him for 2 weeks after so I'm not complaining!)

Let the Good Times Roll smells like cookie dough. I don't know how else to describe it. It is actually quite a gentle exfoliator as well so I use it in the shower (on my body) as well as my face and I smell like a walking dessert! I highly recommend you to go to Lush and take a big sniff and try it out!

Next I went to Victoria's Secret to check out their makeup & beauty department. I haven't been there in a while as well so I am curious to see if they have any new products out. I saw these two in store, swatched it on my hands and then I was sold.

The VS Pro Magic FX Transforming Pearl Eye Quad is a beautiful eyeshadow quad containing 4 soft, pastel pink, gold, lilac, and green colors to be used for layering on top of other eyeshadows, to wear on its own or as a highlight. They are opalescent, light, and shimmery. I don't own anything like this before and I thought they are way too beautiful to pass up!

Here is a swatch of the colors. How gorgeous and unique are they?!

The last thing I picked up is the VS Pro Magic FX Holographic Lip Shimmer. It is light-reflective, shimmery, and duo chrome-y .. I just had to!

Once again I don't own any lip glosses like this, so I wanted to try :)

There are 3 different colors: Prismatic Gold (which is the one I got), Prismatic Lilac, and Prismatic Pink!

 Doe-foot applicator

A swatch of the Holographic Lip Shimmer!

I think it is safe to say I'm a sucker for anything duo chrome and prismatic! They're honestly so pretty and surprisingly non-sticky! I had a hard time deciding between this gold one and the lilac one because I fell in love with them both equally but I ended up going for the gold one. I think it will look soo good if you dab this in the center of your lips for that extra umf, don't you think? ;)

Once again I hope you enjoy my haul! I really need to stop shopping but who am I kidding? hahaha! what's life without a bit of fun! Thank you so much for reading and have an awesome, be-youtiful day ;)

Until next time,
from Film with love xoxo

Mini Haul: MAC, Victoria's Secret, and GNC

Hi everyone! Summer is coming to an end (back to school next Monday) I decided to go shopping with my good and ever so beautiful friend Jessica and her boyfriend Dylan (who makes sick beats  check him out here!).

All in all we had a very successful shopping trip as we got everything we wanted and more! Who doesn't love successful shopping days?

Here is what we got today:

Our first stop was MAC, of course. Since Jessica is a makeup artist (check out her work! she is super talented, and show her some love by following her on her facebook page:)), she gets incredible discounts with her pro card :) Earlier, we were talking about getting some new lipsticks we've both been lusting after so we went in and try on many different ones and we ended up getting these:

From left to right: Diva, Morange, Snob, Dark Side, Modesty

Personally, I was looking for a dark red color. I already have my Rebel lipstick which I absolutely adore, especially for the Fall and Winter. But I was looking for something more red and much darker, as Rebel was more berry and pinkish. I looked around and stumbled across 2 that I had my eye on: Dark Side and Diva. I saw the swatches online and they looked pretty similar. I couldn't decide which one I truly wanted so I went ahead and tried it on my lips at the store. I ended up liking Dark Side more because it is an amplified creme as opposed to Diva, which is a matte. Both colors are equally beautiful but I prefer a slight sheen in the finish than a matte one.

Jess got Diva as she prefers the matte finish. She also tried on a few different ones in store and ended up getting Morange (which looks so bright and beautiful on her), Snob (a beautiful barbie pink), and Modesty (a perfect nude for her). All the colors are so beautiful and here are the swatches for all the ones we got:

Beside the lipsticks, Jessica also got an eyeshadow because she wanted a nice blending color. She picked Soft Brown in a pro palette refill pan (this is also on my wish list! But I've been loving my Naked Basics palette for now and I've been using the color Naked 2 as my blending color, which I talked about in my previous post here).

Jess also pick up some brushes: #195 Concealer Brush and #217 Blending Brush. I've never own any brushes from MAC before so I'll have to ask her what her favorite ones are so I can go pick some up for myself :)

Next, we went to Victoria's Secret because we've heard good things about their self-tanners and we were curious to try. Jessica ended up getting the Self-Tanning Tinted Lotion which was only $15 (a really good price for a self-tanner in my opinion!) and it must be their best-seller as the tube she picked up was the last one left in store. Once they have it back in stock I will definitely swing by and pick it up because I love the way it smells (brings me back good summer memories) when I tried it out in the store!

Last but not least, we head over to GNC because I read somewhere about castor oil and its benefits, especially in growing and lengthening eyelashes (mix half of coconut oil and half of castor oil in a little bottle, dip a clean mascara wand in and apply to your eyelashes every night before you go to bed - it's supposed to work wonders but we'll soon find out. i'll keep you guys updated!).

Unfortunately I was unable to find direct links through the GNC website but you can find each of the products above on their respective websites.

We decided to share a bottle of Now Solutions Castor Oil as it is such a big bottle and a little goes a long way. Jess also picked up Nature's Way Organic Coconut Oil (I already have the same one at home and I love it!).

Each oil has incredible benefits and multiple usage. You can use coconut oil for cooking or you can apply it directly to your skin as a moisturizer. As with castor oil, you can also use it (along with coconut oil) for your hair, massaging it to your scalp and to aid in repairing dry and damaged ends.

I highly recommend getting these oils. Whether you are simply ingesting them for their numerous health benefits or for other uses that I mentioned above, it is worth every penny.

I hope you enjoy today's haul and find my posts useful :) Until next time,

from Film with love,
